According to the book Einstein written by Peter D Smith.
Jakob, Albert's uncle had introduced Albert to Pythagoras's theorem. Einstein was so Fascinated with this that he would spend weeks and weeks putting into test!
Not only did Jakob introduce Pythagoras's theorem to Albert but also Algebra .
In the book Einstein it also mentions how Jakob would explain the principles of Algebra to Albert:
"Merry Science in which we go hunting for a little animal whose name we don't know. So we call it X. When we bag the game we give it the right name"

Was it a great beginning for the man who would one day change the world of science?
When Albert was 12 he had excelled in mathematics and science, and one can see that he found a new profound feeling for these subjects.
Sadly dramatic changes had happend at home. The family firm had failed and they had to relocate to Milan. The 15 -year-old Albert had to stay in boarding school to finish his three years of schooling.
The young man that would change the world of science didn't have the greatest beginning: at the age of 15 he was a school drop-out

He later went back to school. Heinrich was impressed with his score on the science exam and he invited Albert to attend his lectures.
